Alexander M. Danzer is Professor of Economics at KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. After graduating with two Diploma degrees in economics and geography he completed his doctorate in economics at Royal Holloway College, University of London, UK, in 2011 and became a junior professor for economics at the University of Munich. Research visits led him to the Kyiv School of Economics, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Stockholm University. He is a Research Fellow at CESifo Munich, IZA Bonn and CReAM UCL London.

His research interests include social policy, poverty reduction, labor economics as well as the microeconomic foundations of sustainable consumption choices. His research has been published, among others, in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Development Economics.
