They are complemented by courses on varying selected topics from the field of economics such as

- International Trade
The courses are taught by leading international researchers. Each course lasts one week, with lectures in the morning and the afternoon, and is completed by an exam.

Research Workshops
Each year, the BGPE organizes two research workshops. They provide an opportunity for doctoral students from participating universities to present their research to peers and experienced scientists. This gives young economists an excellent opportunity to network and gather constructive feedback. Participation in research workshops is not open for external participants.

Guest Program
To support international networking, the BGPE invites prominent economic researchers from around the world to visit Bavarian universities. These guests present their current work, are available for academic discussions, and advise our doctoral students.

Discussion Papers
Our doctoral students circulate their research output in the BGPE Discussion Paper series before submitting it to refereed scientific journals.
